Helios provided preconstruction and construction services for the renovation of a 2,800-square foot former bank space into a high-end dental studio. As part of their overall sustainable corporate philosophy, ORA Dental Studio is pursuing LEED Silver certification by the US Green Building Council. Helios worked with the client and architect prior to lease execution to provide accurate pricing based on several unique building conditions. Helios also collaborated with the design team to help evaluate the cost / benefit of all building systems (shading, daylighting, lighting and HVAC) to reduce annual operating costs by 30% with a minimal impact to construction costs. Helios performed “deconstruction” of the existing finishes in the space, salvaging those that fit within the design and donating the remaining items to a local not-for-profit building material exchange.
